World Top 400 Universities: UKZN. The University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) has reached a remarkable milestone by securing its position among the top 400 best-performing universities globally, as revealed by the latest 2023/2024 Times Higher Education (THE) rankings.

This significant achievement marks the first time UKZN has entered this prestigious league, positioning itself in the 351-400 band. This marks a notable advancement from its previous standing in the top 500 (401 – 500) .

THE evaluates universities based on 13 meticulously calibrated performance indicators, including teaching quality, research output, citation impact, industry engagement, and international collaboration.
