As announced by the school, 2022 registration will only be done online. There will be no walk-ins allowed on any UKZN campus. Due to the current covid-19 public health emergency and the mandate of the government, this has happened.

This is the process for registering online

  • A document will be displayed once you click UKZN Registration. Read and accept the rules and regulations.
  • Next, click on the Address validation link, verify your address details, and update if necessary.
  • After verifying your address details, click the contact details link to see your contact details. Make sure your phone number and e-mail address are accurate since you will be contacted via both of these methods.
  • After clicking the New Registration link, you can select the most appropriate qualification for you.
  • Make sure the qualification displayed is accurate (you may need to select your major(s)). Make sure your employment status is selected, then click “Save and Continue”.
  • Select your modules, taking note of the rules per group of modules and the total credits for the year. If any rule is broken, the system will develop errors. Select the timetable blocks for each module chosen, and be sure not to select the same blocks for modules within the same semester. After selecting, save and continue.
  • The selection would need to be approved if there is any credit error or you are a purple, red, or orange student.

N: B -; Green students with no registration errors will proceed.

  • Please click on Request Approval. There may be some comments that can assist the academic in approving the proposal. Then you click Submit. After submitting, if you receive a message indicating that your request has been forwarded, log out and expect an email regarding its status.

Please log in again, click the New Registration link, and change your module selection as advised.

  • The next step is to upload your documents once your request is approved or you have no errors in your subject selection. Documents will be displayed on the screen. Browse and upload pdf files relevant to each space.

Once you have completed this, you can log out and wait for an email from the school. It will be determined if the documents you submitted meet the requirements or if they need to be resent.

  • The registration costs will be displayed at the end of the process. Then click Accept Registration to complete the registration process. A message stating that you have now been registered will appear.
