UKZN Professor Win Academic Of The Year Award. Professor Micheline Naude, Academic Leader in Marketing and Supply Chain Management at the School of Management, Information Technology, and Governance at UKZN, has been honored with the Academic of the Year award at the 2023 African Women in Supply Chain Association (AWISCA) Supply Chain Game Changer Awards.

The ceremony, held at Capital on the Park in Sandton, recognizes outstanding achievements and contributions within the supply chain industry, highlighting individuals and organizations driving innovation and leadership.

The AWISCA Supply Chain Game Changer Awards, now in their second year, attracted submissions from across Africa. A panel of industry experts rigorously evaluated each entry, considering factors such as impact on the industry, advocacy, mentorship, and overall contribution to building skills and capacity.

Professor Naude emerged as the recipient of the Academic of the Year award due to her unwavering commitment to advancing capabilities within the supply chain profession and her significant contributions to its body of knowledge.
