Recently, we had the privilege of hosting a cohort of esteemed UKZN staff members for our renowned Leadership Development Programme (LDP). This program, a cornerstone of our annual offerings, is tailored for senior staff across the University’s diverse Schools and Colleges, equipping them to thrive in the complex and ever-evolving landscape of Higher Education in Africa.

The LDP’s inaugural module, facilitated by a team of seasoned academics including Dr. Jairam Reddy, Ms. Zinhle Mpungose, and Mr. Nigel Chiweshe, delved into critical topics such as The South African and Global Trends in Higher Education, People Management Challenges in Higher Education, and Legal and Ethical Issues in Communication and Promotion. Participants engaged in vibrant case study discussions and presentations, gaining invaluable insights to navigate the multifaceted challenges of leadership.
